ImageHey guys, I know a lot of you are worried and wondering whatt's up with Tales of Heroes so I thought I'd give you a quick update.  AsI mentioned, i'm switching over to Final Cut to produce the show and so it means I've got to learn a new program and figure out what looks good and all the ins and outs.  I've had a number of issues on this front from getting my new capture card working with windows media encoder to trying to get Final Cut to output in the right quality and file format.  The good news is that I've finally got it all figured out, and should be able to get the shows out to you soon.  (read on for more)

Last week i started my new (full time) job as an AV tech for PSAV (www.psav.com) at Foxwoods Resort and Casino.  Because this is a brand new contract for PSAV, we've had a lot of work to do organizing and setting up new equipment and getting things organized.  It's been 8, 9, and 10 hour days for me the past two weeks, and the last thing i want to do when I get home is sit down in front of my computer and try to figure out Final Cut.  I have two shows recorded sitting on my computer that require post production and then they're ready to post.  I'm about 50% done with the post production on one which i hope to finish tomorrow (my day off yay!) and will get it out either tomorrow night or sunday afternoon.

Thanks to everyone for your patience, we'll try to resume a more regular schedule now that I've got the software figured out and my job should get a little more relaxed.  The next two shows are very good, I know you'll enjoy them.

Nobody minds the lateness, so long as there's a good, reasonable explanation to come with it.

And as far as I can see, that's a pretty good one!

Hi Bridger, I'm a big fan of the show and just wanted to volunteer my Final Cut services. Should the workload become too much for you, what I'd propose is this: After you and Rogers have recorded your commentary and respective replay views, I could then cut the footage into a cohesive piece with FCP, even cutting between footage (i.e. you or Rogers' viewpoint) as it pertains to the commentary.

I understand you already have a system and may have your doubts, but I just thought I'd throw this out there; my only goal would be to make your life easier and take some load off you (without removing your creative control) for the show. If you'd like to discuss, or see an example of what one of your proposed finished shows would look like and how much less work you'd actually have to do, please drop me a line.

thanks,

- Ray

I appreciate the update. Good luck on the new job, btw.

With so much going on, do you even have time left to actually play the game?

Congrats on the new job Bridger! working 10-12 hours for any length of time sucks, been there and it ain't pretty. I hope it slows down for ya in the near future so you can enjoy yourself.

Cheers for the hard work man, you make the working days pass by a little quicker. =)

Cheers,
