The latest episode of FPS Weekly is here again! November is a huge month for gaming releases, and with that, plenty of FPS's being released. Another exciting thing here at GameFire, in addition to the ever growing awesomeness of the site, is that we've got a Team Fortress 2, 24 man server! |

There was a lot of news this week, with plenty of demos, betas and videos to check out. The Painkiller: Overdose demo is the first on the list, but we're not too impressed. We put a good deal of time into talking about the ACTUAL release of the CSPromod beta. |

In this episode of FPS Weekly, you asked, we delivered! In our news section, All Things Bullets, the first thing to be discussed was the Unreal Tournament 3 Beta Demo (Beta demo? Isn't it one or the other?), taking a look at how to compares to it's predecessors and what improvements and added features it has. Secondly, Ben and I talk a bit about a game still in early development, but potentially being a very cool co-op experience, Conflict: Denied Ops. Finally we finish with a demo that's received a good amount of attention from the listening audience, the Timeshift Demo. You'll hear what we liked, didn't like, and how it compares to other games that have fiddled with the space-time continuum. Finally we end our show with a heated debate on the topic of the varying styles of online FPS's. And there's an added bonus for Portal fans, listen for it!

Several weeks back I saw, on Fileplanet, that the Frontline: Fuels of War beta was released. The concept sounded cool, the game looked nice, and it's an FPS, so I went ahead and downloaded it. First of all, quite large for a typical beta, over 2 GB. But that wasn't the real problem. After installed, booting it up, and watching the intro video, I got excited. So I go to create an account, input my information, click create, and it tells me that it doesn't recognize my CD key (which I had already put in), and that I should contact customer service or something. Slightly distraught, but still unwilling to give up, I hit up the Kaos forums, which was conveniently on my desktop after installing the beta. I already saw several threads of people having the same problem, and I saw a reply from one of the Kaos forum admins, saying that, this was not in fact their fault, but Fileplanet was to blame. Glad to see them being helpful. But there is much more to come, read on, read on...
