So there have been some problems...

It is my understanding that many people don't like the changes that have been happening to Tales of Heroes. Allow me to explain.

Right now we are paying out of our own pocket to host Tales of Heroes. We are currently in a situation where we have massive bandwidth costs due to the high demand of Tales of Heroes videos. We cannot afford to give anything away for free anymore.

So the alternatives were to require a subscription in order to get any ToH (which i absolutely do not want to do) or to put ads in the show. We found a way to put ads into the show in a nice flash player. It seemed to work very nice for us, so we figured it would be a good answer to our problem.

Once we launched the site and the first show, some people reported problems with the flash player. We'd like to try and work out what exactly these problems are and try to fix them. Everyone should be able to view Tales of Heroes in the flash player, we want to work through these issues and find out why people are having problems.

This is a new site with a new method of encoding and there are going to be some problems. We're working through them right now. We're already working on a method of encoding that will potentially eliminate the "choppyness" that people reported having.

For those that can't see the player, make sure you have the latest version of flash and make sure you do not have any ad blocking software and that you have not changed your hosts file to block adbrite.com

If you are still having issues please post in this thread . We'd also like any solutions people have to these issues as well. Thanks for hangin with us through this transitional period, we hope to continue Tales of Heroes for many episodes to come!

	You shouldent be forced to pay out of your own pocket to bring the public a show they like, i think the ad thing is a great way to earn cash on doing something that everyone likes, its a win for all parts.. so what if you have to see some ads here n there, you still get a great show for free. Dont listen to the whining!

Step 1. Click on the video link.
Step 2. Select and copy the URL in the adress bar. Its somelike like: http://vid.adbrite.com/video/a...66760&og=1

Step 3. At the bottom of your screen you can see a red circle with a red line going through it. (It says restricted site or something) Click on the circle twice. You can see a menu with restricted and trusted sites. NOTE: if you cannot see the circle you have another problem.

Step 4. Click on the tab for trusted websites.
Step 5. Click on "sites"
Step 6. Add the entire URL you just copied in the centre box. The URL was http://vid.adbrite.com/video/a...66760&og=1

Step 7. Click on add (Make sure you unchecked the "require server verification..." thingy)
Step 8. Click close
Step 9. Click OK
Step 10. Refresh the page where the video was suppossed to load in.

You are done.

Hope it solves a lot of people's problems. It solved mine.
